Storm

This image is a composition of two images, the boat and the birds. Everything else in this picture, like the clouds, the water and the rain were created in Corel Photo-Paint X4.

Snow and Ice

Brutally cold temperatures here, I spotted this scene at Bates College in Lewiston Maine. Apperantly the students had cut some ice blocks from the pond and arranged them. Why, I don't know.

Chiaroscuro

This is my first attempt in Chiaroscuro and I think it came out pretty good. Strobist: One AB1600 at 90 deg. and the background was flagged with a black foam core.

Here in Maine we don't use big guns like the 45's, we use the small and long ones like the 16 inch long Ruger 44mag. :)

Carol and Patrick

Yes it is him, Patrick Dempsey while he was visiting the Patrick Dempsey Cancer Center at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. Carol has been a long time volunteer for CMMC and now also at the Dempsey Cancer Center, at that particular day she had a chance to meet Patrick and have her picture taken with him.

Carol told me she was done modeling unless I approve unlimited spending. My answer was...."Well, then I'll get me one of them 18 year old models from MM". This picture was taken immediately after my reply to her. :) Just kidding!

Color Test Shot for the D90

just got the new D90 and I'm in the middle of calibrating the whole system. The color accuracy is astonishing on this camera and so are the noise figures.
All Tungsten light, ISO 1600,1/30, f3.5.
